The Shooting School for the TRAP event for children from 12 to 17 years was organized by the Clay Target Federation of Serbia, and supported by the Secretariat for Sport and Youth of Belgrade. The complete program of this school took place in BG Sport Centre Kovilovo, from September 30 to October 29, 2006.

On the last day of school, the competition was organized and all the trainees participated. The older trainees competed with 10 targets and the younger with
5 targets.

Mr. Milan Sotra, the President of the Clay Target Federation of Serbia, was satisfied with the realisation of the school program, and especially with the number of trainees and with the pace of comprehension of the program required. Mr. Sotra pointed out that the school would continue in spring and asked all of the participants to join the school again.

48 children finished the school for trap event successfully. The certificates and small gifts were awarded by Mrs. Snjezana Vajagic, the Secretary General of the Clay Target Federation of Serbia.

The best among the girls at the final competition was Svetlana Nikolic, and Radovan Stanic was the best among the boys, and they were presented by the first trophies in their, we hope, successful career. The best among the younger class was Milos Horvat.

Serbia and Montenegro senior volleyball team -women- started today, October 25, 2006 their trip to the World Championships that will take place in Japan. They have spent their last days of training and preparation in Hotel President in BG Sport Centre Kovilovo. This picture, taken near the hotel’s pool, is a souvenir both for the players as well as for the Hotel. The entire sport centre staff wished this elite team farewell and good luck on the World Championships.

National Football team of Serbia spent their second part of training and qualifications for EURO 2008 at BG Sport Centre Kovilovo and Hotel President.

The National Team won both games, against Belgium and Armenia, thus proving that our centre has provided first-class conditions to the players and team management for training and preparations, enabling the Serbian National Football Team to reach the desired target.

On October 11th, 2006, the last day that the Team spent in our Hotel President, the Prime Minister of Serbia, Mr. Vojislav Kostunica visited the Football National Team of Serbia in BG Sport Centre Kovilovo, before their qualification game with Armenia.

“Congratulations on your games up to date. I am expressing the satisfaction and pride of our nation with your play, particularly starting with the game against the Czech Republic. That game was the turning point, as that was your first game in new, Serbian colors and coat of arms. You played superbly.”

The President of Football Federation of Serbia, Mr. Zvezdan Terzic presented Mr. Kostunica with the national football shirt with “For the good of Serbia” slogan.

The first Belgrade privately owned elementary school RUDJER BOSKOVIC decided to arrange one of their sports' days in BG Sport Centre Kovilovo. Enchanted pupils of this eminent school spent their time playing various ball games on our new open sport fields: football, volleyball, basketball. Everyone participated in their preferred games. But all of them enjoyed in green lawns and pleasant surroundings .

GP Belgrade, competition that has already become traditional as the season is coming to an end in October, proved its importance this year as well. 80 competitors from 9 countries took part in all three clay target events – skeet, trap and double trap, from October 03 to October 08, 2006.

Rafaelo di Kastanco from Italy took the first place in Trap, with 132 targets, while our shooter, Dejan Mihajlovic was the sixth with 125 targets. Vitareli Fulvio from Italy won the first place in Skeet with 138 targets, and Bognar Rihard from Hungary was the best in Double trap with 182 targets. ITALY 1 was the best in team competition with 320 targets, our team PARTIZAN (Sotra Milan, Mihajlovic Dejan and Sotra Predrag) was the second with 308 targets and ZG-VG team from Croatia with 302 targets took the third place. On this occasion the President of Clay Target Shooting Federation of Serbia, Mr. Milan Sotra, awarded the special prize - a golden cup - to Mr. Dzevad Haznadar of BIH, for 50 years of successful competitive shooting, as Mr. Sotra and Mr. Haznadar started their shooting careers together.

It is important to lay emphasis on participation of Italian shooters. Mr. Mario Magnanini, Italian Federation delegate, asserted that the Italian shooters were impressed by this beautiful and top quality shooting range, that offered to them the best equipment and most comfortable competition settings. It is also well to know that this was the opinion of the Italian shooting elite, those that were not participating in this year’s World Cup Finals, but representing the second best Italian team.  We might have the opportunity to see some of them in the next year’s prestigious competition, as our Federation will be the host of the World Cup Finals in 2007.

The competitors were delighted with the various and plentiful prizes given to the shooters that were placed from the 1st to 10th place. The farewell was warm and the competitors left with a ”big thank you and until we meet again”.

BG Sport Centre Kovilovo was the host of the first Championships of Serbia in all the clay target events on September 09 and 10, 2006. The opening ceremony was held at the pleasant surroundings of Hotel President’s pool, where Milan Sotra, the President of Clay targets Federation of Serbia, greeted the competitors and the guests.

In the individual competition of the Championships of Serbia, the first place was won by Todor Miskov (SK Rikoset) with 124 targets, the second by Djura Mandic (SK Lepenski Vir) with 123 targets, and the third by Ivan Rozek (SK Jedinstvo Trap) with 121 targets.

The best in team event was the Partizan Club with 304 targets (competitors: Milan Sotra, Dejan Mihajlovic, Predrag Sorta); the second place went to SK Jedinstvo Trap with 291 targets (competitors: Rade Pavlovic, Viktor Rainpreht, Svetislav Lazovic), and the third place to SK Lepenski Vir with 277 targets (competitors: Svetislav Maricic, Milorad Pantic, Djura Mandic).

One of the world's leading water polo teams, Republic of Hungary national selection, is currently using the Hotel President and Bg Sport Centre Kovilovo during their stay in Belgrade and European Water Polo Championships. In their free time, the players are using all the advantages of this complex, so do not be surprised if you see them not only in hotel hall and swimming pool, but also at the football field and inside the sports hall.

Hotel President's swimming pool was the meeting place for the newly formed Porsche Club, at the beginning of September. Rich and attractive food and exquisite choice of drinks gave special quality to this get-togheter party, as well as the pleasant late summer weather.
This sophisticated spot of Hotel President is rapidly becoming one of the favorite meeting places of Belgrade's automobile elite.

The presentation of Fencing school was held on Saturday, September 02, 2006. Fencing school will be taking place in the Sports Hall of BG Sport Centre Kovilovo. The program includes sport and recreational fencing, movement without arms, synchronization of movements with arms, training in pairs, individual work with instructors, competition participation. Fencing gear is also available. The school instructors are our renown fencing champions Ms. Tamara Savic-Sotra (contact 065 316 60 15) and Vesna Krejovic-Barbulovic (contact 063 361 889).

During August and September 2006, Hotel President and BG Sport Centre Kovilovo will be the host to A football selection of Serbia, while preparing for the EURO 2008 qualifications. Hotel President, prestigious hotel facility in unique sport complex BG Sport Center Kovilvo is chosen by Football Organization of Serbia to be the home base for the elite national team of Serbia for this and other matches up till EURO 2008.

The National Waterpolo team of Hungary, A selection, recognized the benefits of this complex as well, and will be preparing and resting in Hotel President during the European Waterpolo Championships taking place in Belgrade, September 2006.

International Grand Prix “Perazzi”, that took place on July 15 and 16, 2006 with numerous prizes in money and prizes in kind, attracted both the shooters from Serbia as well as the shooters from Bulgaria, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Greece, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovakia and Slovenia… The spectators had a pleasure of watching the six shooters in final competition that held them in suspension till the very end.

Gash Jiri from the Czech Republic was the first with 124 points and was awarded with the most valuable prize: 7 days complimentary full board in Hotel President, luxurious Perazzi watch and 500 euros. Genev Dmitar from Bulgaria won the second place with 123 points, while missing the last clay target and the opportunity to compete for the first place. Our team member, Predrag Sotra, won the third place with 121 points.

After the final series, three shooters, Cavara Roman, Sop Stjepan and Pavlovic Rade, had the equal result of 120 points, so the 4th place had to be decided by shoot-off. The best in shoot-off was Pavlovic Rade of Serbia and he took the 4th place, Cavara Roman of Slovakia was the 5th and the sixth place went to Sop Stjepan of Croatia. The shooters from the first to the 10th place received both the prizes in money and in kind, and the shooters from 10th to 20th place received the prizes in kind.

On Sunday the June 24, we had pleasure to orgnize Hypo Alpe Adria Bank Summer Party with more than 500 invitees. Our guests had opportunity to enjoy in excellent service during breakfast, barbeque and dinner. Whole day program inluded sport activities, concert and at the end great party which prologned woderful atmosphere after midnight.
